FAQ`s
- Remove the main battery pack from your laptop (for a minimum of 2 minutes)
- Hold the on/off button for 30 seconds (this resets the power manager on most units)
- Connect main power ac adapter back to your laptop (leaving the battery out)
- Turn the unit back on
- If it turns on, proceed to the main window and shut the laptop back down, connect the battery, switch back on and resume
If there is still no sign of life Please contact us.
- If you are not on the mains, does your battery have enough power? Always worth checking.
- Go through the steps outlined in my laptop is dead.

- Don’t attempt to find out for yourself what the problem is. In doing so, you may cause more harm than good
.This problem can only be correctly diagnosed by an experienced engineer.
- Try charging the battery overnight in the laptop. Then run either a film DVD or a music CD continuously to see how long it lasts.
- If it lasts just a short while e.g. less than 30 minutes, you probably need a new battery. You can call us for a quote5: I get a beeping noise when I turn the machine on
- Check to see if any of the keys on the keyboard are being held down. If not, you will need to seek help from our team. 6: Some of my keys are not working on the keyboard
- Check to see if any of the keys are stuck due to crumbs, dust or ‘lurking’ bits in the keyboard.
- If this is the core problem, try blowing the culprits out using a small brush and gently brush in between the keys. This should clear the problem.

7: I’m getting the message “no operating system found” or “insert system disc and press any key “
- Check to see if a floppy disc is inside the laptop, if so, simply remove it.
- Check to see if a CD has been left inside the laptop if so, simply remove it.

8: I can’t access the internet
- This can be quite complicated or quite simple. If you have checked all the connections and all seems okay, then the problem could be down to other causes such as:-
– system settings
– faulty operating system
– hardware connection failure
– virus
– physical service provider issues
- If you have recently upgraded your internet account or if you have switched your service
provider, please contact them in the first instance.

9: My laptop seems to be getting really hot
- Check to see if something is obstructing the fan outlet located at the side or back of the unit.
- If the fan outlet is clear, then you need to seek help from an experienced engineer.
10: One of the ports on my laptop is broken
- This problem can only be accurately diagnosed by an experienced engineer. Don’t try any sticky tape or DIY remedies.
We have seen it all and by doing a patch up job, you are increasing your ultimate laptop repair bill.
11: I’ve spilt a drink on my laptop
- Shut it down and switch it off! Please do not attempt to dry the laptop yourself. Sugary liquids are highly corrosive and the longer you delay seeking the help of an experienced engineer, the higher the chances that damage will occur.
